Information for Our Guests

We’re happy that you’re thinking of attending one of our services. The following information will give you an idea of what to expect when you visit our church. Our prayer is that when you visit you will encounter God in a way that leads you to Greater Life.

—Pastor Craig Gates

How do I get to Greater Life?

Greater Life is located in the Northland of Kansas City, MO. We are one block north of NE Vivion Road and N. Brighton Avenue intersection. You can enter our parking lot from N. Brighton Avenue or from the driveway by Quiktrip on NE Vivion Road. Click here for a map.   Click here for directions.  If you would like a ride please call the office at 816-453-6921 or email us at info@greaterlifekc.com

Where do I park?

There are convenient Handicapped parking spaces closest to our entrance and plenty of other parking as well.

What do I do when I arrive?

When you first arrive, you’ll be greeted by one of our hosts or hostesses. They will give you one of our brochures about the church, and if it’s your first time to visit, they will ask you to fill out a connect card so that we can get to know you better. We really are glad when someone takes the time to visit and we want to minister to your needs.

If you don’t know anyone when you arrive, we guarantee you will before you leave! If it makes you feel better to know someone before you arrive, contact us today and meet someone over the phone, or arrange to meet us in person before the service.

What is your service like?

You are welcome to attend any of our scheduled services.  Click here for a complete list of all our service times.

Our Sunday services are usually around an hour and a half long. Our Wednesday night bible study is one hour long.

Our services are filled with vibrant worship. We clap our hands, lift our hands, sing aloud, and offer heartfelt expressions of worship. Please feel free to worship God in ways in which you are comfortable.  Click here if you would like to read some verses from the Bible that describe the way we worship.

If you need assistance at any time during the service, please talk with one of our ushers at the back of the auditorium or with one of our hosts or hostesses in the foyer.

Do you have a nursery?

If you have a baby and need to leave the service to care for your baby there is a nursery located by the foyer of our church. There is a speaker mounted on the wall with a volume control located in the room so that you can still hear the service.

Do you offer classes for children?

We have Sunday school classes on Sunday mornings for your children to attend. These classes start for children as young as one year old and continue through high school ages. The classrooms are located downstairs along the perimeter of our downstairs fellowship area. We also have christian education classes for children on Wednesday night during our Adult Bible Study.

What do I wear?

Many people aren’t sure what to wear when they visit. We want you to be comfortable when you visit, so wear what you’re comfortable wearing. When you’re at one of our services, you’ll see a range of styles from jeans to suits. Casual or “Sunday best” . . . it doesn’t matter.

What does your church believe?

Greater Life is called to be God’s church in Kansas City. A consistently growing church that is a multi-cultural, multi-generational body of believers. We are expanding the Kingdom of God, influencing our world with the truth of God’s word through the power of His Spirit. We grow larger through reaching out, closer through fellowship, deeper through discipleship, stronger through worship. We are empowered and equipped to connect people to Greater Life through life-changing experiences with God.
Click here if you would like to know more about our faith. If you have any questions while you’re here please ask an usher, host or hostess.
